The Tripod

Not done yet. But this is what happens when people are grumpy at me, i channel my energy to things that go pew.


This is a concept for an abstract walker DRONE of the Celestial Empire - Core Forces. It sports two Extended range Giant Arcane Mortars, two area search devices and A E Web ANti Air array for slapping around fast movers. The energy web array is ment to knock down fast moving low flying aircraft, rocket troopers, and inbound, larger munitions. To combat enemy infantry in close up situations, the walker drone has a snub barreless magical blaster in coned turret. 

The web array can be fired at enemy ground forces, and buildings aswell. It has its own, targeting sensor for fine tuning targeting. However, uses the two area search cones to survey the sky 360 to track and find potential air units to automatically start engaging.

The arcane mortars are ideal for 'shelling' enemy dug in positions with powerful blasts of magic. Damage from this is relateable to getting shelled with plasma shells.


It is a support unit with some serious bite, and very strange looking. It is perhaps, the first of an entire series of units to be developed and tested. They will only get stranger, and more bizarre from here on out.

Note: ORIGINALLY this was to be a the beginning, to a series ment to counter rocket powered people. But that is irrelevant now.

ADDITIONALLY, the funy thing is the sketch i originally did in the field, was a two legged reverse jointed mech. With a core / head gun arm configuration. Basicly a magical artillery piece with secondary gun arms that runs around shooting stuff.

And some how? It ended up turning into a stilt legged tripod with an uncanny fox head. I am still laughing at how different the sketch is from the final product. I never did sketching before arting, so i am not sure if that is normal? Or was i just way left field? Who knows. I like how it turned out anyway.

The Mini Tripod

Basically designed to be a spooky combat Golem. Larger Tripods would have several  platoons of these walking around them snooping into buildings and engaging infantry sized targets.
